A useful request for quotation gives both sides enough information to define the same project. It does not need to be a finished technical specification, but it should separate confirmed requirements from open questions.
1. Identify the product
Provide a product name and, where available, a reference photo, drawing, sample, model number or link. Explain the intended use and the age group or user group when this affects design or documentation.
2. State the project route
Tell us whether you want to review an existing product, customize an existing mold, or discuss a new design. If you are unsure, share the concept and mark the route as open for review.
3. Define quantity and timing
Include an estimated quantity and unit, such as pieces, sets, retail packs or cartons. Add your target arrival date or acceptable delivery window. These inputs help distinguish a preliminary estimate from a production-ready quotation.
4. Describe customization
- Preferred colors or a color reference
- Logo artwork and possible logo position
- Single item, coordinated set or collection
- Retail packaging, inserts, labels and carton requirements
- Any feature that must be retained from the reference
5. Name the target market
Country, region and sales channel can affect product information, packaging language and the documents a buyer may request. Do not assume that one report or material statement applies to every finished product or market.
6. List the documents you need reviewed
Specify the document name, target market, product or material scope and the stage at which you need it. XLEE will confirm document availability for the particular product or project rather than applying a general certification claim.
